Action overview
Short description - Objectives
Senior Volunteering Projects support bilateral partnerships and exchanges of senior volunteers between local organisations located in two countries participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP). The aim of this action is to develop collaboration around a European theme and to allow senior citizens to learn, to share knowledge, experience and competences.
Eligible institutions and participants
The volunteering activity in another country takes place in a continuous period of 3-8 weeks. Each of the two partners is expected to send 2-6 volunteers to the partner institution, during the funding period which is 2 years.
Community Funding Funding is provided in the form of a lump-sum grant to each of the two organizations participating in the Project concerned. It is designed to help cover both the travel and subsistence costs of the volunteers and the costs incurred by the organisations involved in the Project.
