Short Description – Aims Study Visits aim to facilitate the exchange of information and experience among European decision makers and experts in the field of Education and Vocational Training. Study Visits offer the opportunity to participants to learn about the educational and professional establishments and reforms implemented in other European countries. A Study Visit is normally a short-term visit of three to five days for a small group (10-15 people) of specialists and decision makers representing various groups of education and vocational training stakeholders with the purpose of examining a particular aspect of lifelong learning in another participating country. Each country can participate in the action in two ways: Through the participation of beneficiaries in Study Visits, which are organized in other participating countries, as well as through the organisation of Study Visits on behalf of the institutions, which are active in the field of General Education and Vocational Training. A. Who can participate in Study Visits:

• Representatives of local, regional and national authorities
• directors of education and vocational training institutions, centres or providers
• directors of guidance centres
• directors of validation or accreditation centres
• head teachers, teacher trainers
• educational and vocational training inspectors
• representatives of education and training networks and associations
• pedagogical or guidance advisers
• representatives of educational services, labour offices or guidance centres
• human resource managers
• company training managers
• representatives of chambers of commerce/ industry/crafts
• representatives of employers’ organisations
• representatives of trade unions
• owners/managers of SMEs

Funding Participants receive funding for travel expenses and daily subsistence. B. Who can organize a Study Visit:

• departments of primary, secondary and vocational education of the Ministry of Education
• local, regional and national authorities
• education and vocational training institutions, centres or providers
• guidance centres
• validation or accreditation centres
• institutions that provide teacher training
• education and training networks and associations
• institutions resposible for pedagogical or advisory guidance
• educational services, labour offices or guidance centres
• human resource organisations
• chambers of commerce/ industry/crafts
• employers’ organisations
• trade unions
• SMEs

Funding Organizing institutions receive 1500 euros as funding from the Foundation for the Management of Lifelong Learning Programmes. MORE INFO >>
